2013 Activity
January 1st 2013
A traditional gathering of old cars (some pre WW1) and bikes at a country pub. You have eaten enough sausage rolls, so get the bike out and come along for a pint and a chat.
Meet at The Elsted In, Elsted Road, GU29 0JT at 12 noon. It is a few miles west of Midhurst and just a mile or two off the A272.
January 16th
Bring your Duke to the Duke. As we cover three counties, we ideally need a gathering point in the middle. The Duke of Cumberland is close to the borders of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire so fits the bill and its a cracking country pub. I will be at the pub from 7pm and hopefully will see a few others brave the winter gloom. It has an award winning menu which means its not cheap pub food! but they do have some fine ales. See http://www.dukeofcumberland.com/
March 24th
The Pioneer Run. A run for pre 1915 bikes from Epson to Brighton. Very atmospheric and a huge variety of bikes turn up to ride along. Ideal just to arrive before the 8am start and savour the atmophere of hundreds of ancient bikes all spluttering into life, normally in a bit of mist to add mood. Not fast riding so pull out those singles and bevels. Perhaps the first proper day of the biking season? I shall be attempting to ride my 1914 Triumph from home to the start, do the run and ride home - c130 miles. A mini adventure. Accordingly someone else needs to manage any Ducati gatherings on the day as I may be resting at the roadside. For more details on the Pioneer see - http://sunbeam-mcc.co.uk/entryinfo?id=93
March 29th
Horsham Piazza Italia. A festival of all things Italian and a big gathering for Italian bikes. We normally meet up in the morning at http://www.dimarino.co.uk/ see http://www.horsham.gov.uk/leisure/7780.aspx
April 6th Saturday
Meet at Cafe Verdi in the middle of Midhurst (on A272) for 1pm to 1.30 and then leave at 1.30 and take a ride to Bury Hill cafe for a bacon butty.
A grand total of just two Ducati's turned up for this gathering. Myself and a new member Martin on his recently acquired 999.

September 2011
We had a good selection turn up for our first gathering and more bikes arrived when we got to Goodwood. Will be nice to see if we can get the whole history of Ducati out on future rides.
Some eccentric vehicles were at Goodwood along with the usual exotics, see below
A V10 8 ltr Viper engine built and ridden!
and a road registered Shed - splendid!
and a road registered King Size bed ... as you do ...!
